Official Opening and Blessing of the Trust central offices
by the Right Reverend Bishop Patrick McKinney
On Thursday 16th May 2019, The Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust welcomed the Right Reverend Bishop Patrick McKinney who officially opened and blessed the Trust central offices.
The event opened with the Entrance hymn ‘All Are Welcome’ followed by the Liturgy of the Word read by Trust CEO, James McGeachie and the Gospel according to Luke, read by Bishop Patrick McKinney. Bishop Patrick blessed the offices and all who serve within the Trust. The service closed with the Recessional hymn ‘Ave Maria, Gratia Plena’.
The event was well attended and well received by representatives from the Nottingham Roman Catholic Diocese, Peter Giorgio (Director of Education); Ken Daly (Chair of the Trust); Directors of the Trust Board; James McGeachie (CEO), Headteachers of the Trust Schools and members of the Trust Central Team.
The Multi-Academy Trust was formed in September 2018, bringing together 21 Secondary and Primary Catholic Schools across Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire under the Nottingham Roman Catholic Diocese with the aim and vision of providing an outstanding Catholic education for young people within its community in an environment that encourages pupils to thrive academically, socially and spiritually.
