Get involved

Volunteering to share your experience and expertise with students and fellow alumni is a great way to give something back to your former school.

Alumni support student development by sharing their expertise and experiences with students across a range of areas by becoming guest speakers, panellists, and mentors.

If you are interested in offering your expertise, check out the list of current opportunities below and let us know if you can help. If you would like to offer your expertise for a future activity, or if you would like to share your story, contact us and we’ll be in touch when suitable opportunities become available.

Upcoming opportunities

We are looking for alumni who would like to be involved in our virtual mentoring programme. You do not need to have any previous experience in mentoring.

Our Monday Mentoring programme links students to professionals across our Trust and supports our students to set and achieve personal and professional development goals. It encourages them to work together, connect and build strong relationships with both their mentors and other mentees.

Across a six week programme, every Monday, mentors and mentees will come together in their small groups to discuss their goals. The programme is a great way for students to reflect on their skills, build a network and take action on their goals.

Our HR and Careers team provides a goal setting canvas to help structure the sessions which helps to track any potential barriers or support that may be required to help achieve students’ goals.

Monday Mentoring will be run regularly throughout the year in 6-week blocks. Monday Mentoring is open to all current students and a limited number of CMAT Alumni.

What are the benefits?

Monday Mentoring has numerous benefits for students, including:

  • Access support from a mentor
  • Meet fellow students and build networks
  • Support to identify and achieve goals

How to sign up

If you are interested in becoming a mentor to support the Monday Mentoring programme, please complete the application form and a member of the HR and Careers team will get in touch with you.
