Payroll and Pensions

The Nottingham Diocese Payroll and Pensions Service provides high quality support to 83 schools across 4 multi-academy trusts, paying over 4,000 colleagues on a monthly basis.

Our team of payroll professionals support schools by:

  • Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll
  • Calculating deductions and third-party payments for:
      • HRMC
      • Teachers’ Pensions
      • Eight Local Government Pension schemes
      • Childcare vouchers
      • Union subscriptions
      • Attachment of earnings orders
  • Generating and distributing annual P60 to all colleagues and a P45 for staff leaving our employment
  • Preparing and submitting the Full Payment Summary and Employer Payment Summary to HMRC
  • Preparing and submitting the Monthly Data Collection to Teachers’ Pensions
  • Preparing and populating the Teachers’ Pensions End of Year Certificate (EOYC) ready for external audit verification
  • Preparing and submitting the Monthly Contribution Returns to relevant Local Government Pension schemes
  • Preparing the year end returns for Local Government Pensions schemes in line with the individual scheme requirements
  • Providing a helpdesk service, supporting schools and colleagues with payroll and pension queries
